LAKEVIEW — The return of the leather bar Manhole was short lived.

Just a few months after opening, Manhole and Whiskey Trust will temporarily close doors, management company said in a statement Friday.

LKH management — the team behind Hydrate, Elixir and Replay — assumed management of the bar and nightclub at the end of Aug. 2014.

Manhole, a leather bar with a dance floor, lounge and pool table opened on Sept. 18, replacing Chloe's bar, which opened in June 2014.

The announcement to close is in response to "situations" beyond LKH management control. As requested by LKH management president, the venues will remain closed until matters are resolved.

"We remain concerned for the staff of Whiskey Trust and Manhole, and regret that this is happening during the holiday season," said Sean Kotwa, managing partner of LKH Management. "LKH is looking into staffing opportunities at other venues to retain members of the former staff."
