WEST ROGERS PARK — The dedication ceremony for the renaming of Park No. 557 will take place 1 p.m. Thursday, Ald. Debra Silverstein (50th) announced.

The park was renamed North Boundary Park in October, after the neighborhood group that took care of it for years.

North Boundary Home Owners League adopted the 1.6 acres of vacant land in the 7300 block of North Kedzie Avenue, which later was taken over by the Chicago Park District.

In June, the City Council approved $24,000 worth of lights for the park.
