WEST ROGERS PARK — Cermak Fresh Market's newest grocery store will open Tuesday on Ridge Avenue, owner Mike Bousis said.

"We feel there is a big void in the neighborhood for grocery," Bousis said, standing among the aisles inside the store sandwiched between Ridge and Damen avenues.

Bousis bought the former Dominick's earlier this year. Since then, he and his employees have been preparing for business.

On Wednesday, one of the final things left to do was to stock produce and meat, which won't take place until Sunday and Monday, Bousis said.

Some special amenities at the store are gelato, pizza and a salad bar.

The grand opening begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Regular business hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m.

The store will be Cermak's 15th, with another to open in suburban Lincolnwood not far to the west, Bousis said.
