PORTAGE PARK — A comedic tale of a 20-something woman suffering an identity crisis will premiere at the Patio Theater on Saturday.
Allie Loukas, the director, writer, producer and star of "Kathryn Upside Down," filmed at locations all over Chicago, including the famed Billy Goat Tavern.
The movie, made with "almost no budget," will premiere at 7 p.m. at the theater, 6008 W. Irving Park Road, which has been closed since April but reopened last week under the same management as the Portage Theater.
Inspired by the work of Loukas’ hero John Hughes, the movie tells the tale of Kathryn, who suffers an identity crisis after she serendipitously meets her biological father, a plumber who shows up at her mother’s fancy garden party to fix a poop-clogged toilet.
Tickets are $10.
