Humboldt Park Shooting Leaves Man Dead

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was fatally shot Monday afternoon in Humboldt Park.

Around 4:50 p.m., police found the man on the sidewalk in the 900 block of North Central Park Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Sedevic said.

The man was identified as Guillermo Campo, of the same block. He was pronounced dead at 5:33 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Sedevic said.
