CHICAGO — A man died after being shot multiple times in South Shore Friday morning, police said.
At 9 a.m., a 20-year-old man was in the 7400 block of South Euclid Avenue when he was shot in his abdomen, back and left leg, said Office Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.
The man was initially taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and listed in critical condition, Estrada said.
He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
The victim was identified as Cedric Goodman, of the 7600 block of South Euclid Avenue, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said. He was pronounced dead at Northwestern at 12:25 p.m.
The incident appears to be gang related, police said.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
