CHICAGO — A 19-year-old woman was shot in Lawndale Thursday morning, police said.
The woman was in the 3900 block of West Arthington Street about 11 a.m. when someone approached on foot and fired in her direction, police said.
The woman was shot in both legs, and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
The shooter fled the scene, and no one is in custody.
Area North detectives are investigating.
