Women’s Business Development Center Hosts Free Workshop Thursday

CHICAGO — Financial experts are coming together Thursday to give women entrepreneurs business advice.

"Connecting to Cash: A Candid Conversation about Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs" will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Goodcity, 5049 W. Harrison St.

The workshop is for both new and established business owners and will focus on raising capital.

Panelists will include Richard Manser, managing director for business banking at The PrivateBank; Linda Quarshie, founder and owner of Art of Athletics; and Nadra Smiley-Martin, co-owner of Evolving Textures, Inc. The panel will be moderated by Roxanne Nava, chief small business officer of the City of Chicago Small Business Center.

The workshop is presented by the Women's Business Development Center in partnership with the Chicago Neighborhood Initiative Micro Finance Group.
