MUSEUM CAMPUS — The author of the "Harry Potter" books is throwing her influence behind a certain name for the Shedd Aquarium's new sea otter pup.

And her selection should come as no surprise to readers of her work.

The Shedd's rescued otter, now known as Pup 681, has already attracted the notice of J.K. Rowling, an otter fancier. So someone at the Shedd tweeted her Wednesday asking her choice of the five names up for a vote.

The five possible choices are Cali, Ellie, Poppy, either Ana or Anya and, finally, Luna.

"Luna, of course!" Rowling replied in a tweet.

Of course, because Luna Lovegood is one of the key side characters in the "Harry Potter" novels, having made her debut in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." In the film series, she's played with a daft airiness by Evanna Lynch.

So there you have it. "Luna" looks to have some magical, and powerfully popular, support.
