LOGAN SQUARE — The guys from Cards Against Humanity had the most fun on Black Friday, evidence of which will arrive at your door this week if you participated in the gamemaker's "Black Friday" sale.

“We came up with the idea of pulling everything off of our store and just selling actual bulls--t,” Max Temkin said via email Monday.

And that's how Cards Against Humanity sold 30,000 boxes of actual bull poop for $6 each.

As for whether that's a euphemism, Temkin says no way:

"Yes, it's from actual bulls," he told DNAinfo Tuesday. "We bought it from a rancher in Texas named Amy."

The items cost $5.80 per piece to manufacture, Temkin added, so the popular Chicago-based gamemakers broke even.

“We hate the idea of 'Black Friday' — a shopping frenzy right after a holiday about being thankful for what you have," Temkin said.

"Unfortunately, the holidays are also a pretty important time for our company, which creates kind of a dilemma for us."

The solution — a special Black Friday sale — was announced to members and friends with a subject line titled “here comes poop:”

Dear horrible friends,

This year, Cards Against Humanity is participating in the tradition of “Black Friday,” an American holiday celebrating a time when the Wampanoag tribe rescued the settlers of Plymouth Colony with incredible savings.

To help you experience the ultimate savings on Cards Against Humanity this Black Friday, we’ve removed the game from our store, making it impossible to purchase.

Instead, we’re offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy some new bulls--t.

Happy holidays to you and your tax-deductible dependents,

- Cards Against Humanity

This isn't the first time Cards Against Humanity has made a mockery of the infamous post-Thanksgiving day of consumption: the crew had planned to offer 1-cent coupons last year but ended up with a second fake idea, the “$5 More” sale.

“We raised all of our prices by $5, and it wound up being really funny, and actually helped our holiday sales by getting us some attention,” Temkin said. “This year we wanted to do something to top that.”

"Bulls--t" started shipping today and will start showing up at customers’ doors this week.

“So far the reaction has been pretty positive — people like participating in the joke and being part of the story,” Temkin said. “When you think about it, six bucks isn't that much to pay to be part of that kind of experience. For some people (like myself) it's a lot more memorable than a movie or a coffee or whatever people buy with six bucks now.”
