JEFFERSON PARK — Ald. John Arena (45th) will join county and state officials to host a workshop to help homeowners appeal their property tax assessment.

The event sponsored by Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Michael Cabonargi will take place at 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence Ave.

Homeowners in Jefferson Park Township, which includes most of the Far Northwest Side, can appeal their assessment until Dec. 15.

Attendees should bring a copy of their second installment property tax bill or know their property index number, organizers said.

Also hosting the event are state Sen. John Mulroe (D-Norwood Park) and Rep. Robert Martwick (D-Jefferson Park) and Cook County Commissioner Peter Silvestri.
