PORTAGE PARK — O.A. Thorp Scholastic Academy will hold its annual Christmas tree sale and craft fair Saturday to raise money for the Portage Park magnet school.

Half of the proceeds from the sale of wreaths, garlands and trees will benefit the Friends of Thorp, a parent group that raises money for programs and additions to the school at 6024 W. Warwick Ave.

North Carolina Fraser firs from the Farmers Market Garden Center between 6 and 8 feet tall will cost $80, while trees between and 8 and 10 feet tall will cost $100. Wreaths will be sold for $30 to $50, and a 25-foot garland will be $50.

While trees will be sold outside the school, a craft fair featuring a variety of handmade gifts and snacks will take place in the school, organizers said.
