Car Crashes into Bus, Building in East Garfield Park, Seven People Injured

EAST GARFIELD PARK — Seven people were injured after a car collided with a CTA bus and then crashed into a building in East Garfield Park early Tuesday morning, police said.

At 12:15 a.m., the car was involved in the accident with the bus in the 3900 block of West Ontario Street before crashing into the building, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to Mount Sinai hospital and two others were taken to Norwegian American Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, Gaines said. Police had no further information about the other four people hurt.

No other information was immediately available.
