CHICAGO — Riot Fest will start selling tickets Tuesday for its festival 10 months away.

Presale tickets for the three-day event, set for Sept. 11-13, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday through the Riot Fest website.

On top of that, the festival is starting its Karma Cash program. People who volunteer a total of 25 hours can get their hands on a limited number of free tickets.

To receive those tickets, volunteers must give their time to a registered 501c3 and get a signed letter from a manager that documents the hours and work performed as well as contact info.

The information must be emailed to karmacash@riotfest.org by 4 p.m. on Jan. 25.

Last week, the festival announced they had completed a $182,000 cleanup of Humboldt Park and the creation of The Riot Fest Foundation, a nonprofit group that will hone in on charitable efforts “focused to the Humboldt Park locale.”
