PORTAGE PARK — The Filament Theatre Ensemble will perform beloved Christmas classics at a holiday party Dec. 6 that will double as a fundraiser for the Portage Park arts group.

For the third year, the movies “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will be shown in the ensemble's recently renovated space with the sound turned off.

Members of the ensemble will perform the characters’ voices and the Slap Happy Jazz Trio will play the soundtrack, organizers said.

The proceeds will fund "another exciting season of theater and gatherings in Portage Park," organizers said.

Tickets for the event that will take place at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave. are $15 for children and $35 for general admission. Early bird tickets are available for $25.
