BRIGHTON PARK — Filming for the hit NBC series "Chicago P.D." has prompted a temporary parking ban on two local streets.

Parking restriction signs have been posted from Campbell Avenue to Rockwell Street on the south side of 38th Street and on the north side of Archer Avenue.

The ban takes effect 8 p.m. Thursday and lasts through 3 p.m. Friday.

Vehicles parked in the area are subject to towing.

The show centers on a Chicago Police Department intelligence unit headed by Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), an effective lawman with a shady past. NBC describes the character as "a man not against crossing legal and ethical lines to ensure the safety and security of the city he loves."
