ARMOUR SQUARE — Police have issued a community alert after a pair of strong-arm street robberies.

The incidents took place Nov. 2 at 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of West 35th Street and at 5:40 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the 3300 block of South Wentworth Avenue. Both locations are near U.S. Cellular Field.

Police said "multiple offenders" have approached victims and taken their property, either by implying they had a weapon or by using physical force.

The attackers are described as two or three black males, each about 15 to 21 years old and generally between 5-feet-3 and 5-feet-10, according to the community alert. The offenders weigh anywhere from 120 to 200 pounds.
