BRIDGEPORT — Teaching artists from the renowned Goodman Theatre will lead an acting workshop for kids and parents at the Bridgeport branch of the Chicago Public Library.

The event, which takes place 6 p.m. Thursday at the library, 3400 S. Halsted St., is geared toward kids ages 6-11 years old and their families. It's free to attend and will last roughly 90 minutes.

Organizers say kids will learn theater basics and provide content for a story, which the parents and teachers will perform on the spot.

The program is a partnership between the Chicago Public Library and the Goodman Theatre.
