LAKEVIEW — Mark your calendar: Blue Man Group is hosting a Blue Man casting call on Tuesday.

Men and women can apply. You'll have to be between 5'10 and 6'1 with an athletic build. Drumming and musical skills are preferred, but anyone with a good sense of rhythm is welcome. All equipment will be provided, and you have to be willing to move.

The show, which started in New York in the late '80s, describes a Blue Man as "an egoless, genderless being." A Blue Man never talks, so acting and improv skills are a must, according to the company.

The open casting call runs from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Briar Street Theatre, 3133 N. Halsted St.

An FAQ says that performer salaries are "competitive within the industry" and employees are offered "a full range" of benefits.
