CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was found dead in the doorway of an apartment building in Grand Crossing early Friday.
The man was shot multiple times and was found lying in the doorway of a second floor apartment in the 7300 block of South Blackstone Avenue, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
He was found around 1:28 a.m. and taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Pacheco said.
The man was identified as Lydell Lynch, and authorities said he lived in the apartment where he was shot.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
