CHICAGO — There's no sewing required at the Dunning Library's blanket-making event Saturday.

The event will benefit Project Linus, a nonprofit based in downstate Bloomington that distributes the blankets to kids in hospitals, shelters and social service agencies.

Volunteers should bring 1 1/2 yards of fleece and a clean pair of scissors.

The event begins at 10 a.m. at the Chicago Public Library branch at 7455 W. Cornelia Ave.
