PORTAGE PARK — The Portage Park Farmers Market will head indoors for its winter season.

After offering produce, meats, baked goods, dairy products, as well as prepared foods and specialty items at Portage Park from June through October, the market will take place at the Portage Theater from November to April.

The Portage Theater, 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., was closed last winter, leaving the market without a home.

Family friendly movies are scheduled to be shown on the theater's big screen while the market is open.

The farmers markets are scheduled to take place Nov. 23, Dec. 21, Jan. 4, Jan. 18, Feb. 1, Feb. 15, March 1, March 15 and April 19.
