LAKEVIEW — Fish Bar is shaking up its menu this winter with weekly theme nights.
Every Tuesday, you'll find a "Taste of New Orleans." Rotating dishes could include Corn Maque Choux, a creamy corn stew with sauteed Andouille sausage, green pepper and scallions; or blackened red fish with mushroom dirty rice, red beans and Tabasco butter sauce.
Wednesdays bring seafood boils. A new main ingredients (think: lobster, crab) is highlighted each week.
On Thursday, you'll find fresh and fried oysters. There's always a la carte options, and crispy oyster slider specials will rotate weekly. Options could include red curry mayo with pickled radish and watercress, or Old Bay mayo with spicy slaw and bread and butter pickles.
Fridays are for fish fries. You'll find hand-battered fried fish cooked in varying regional styles. Selections could include British (roasted garlic mayo, malt vinegar, steak fries) or Gulf Coast (remoulade, hush puppies, fried okra).
Fish Bar is at 2956 N. Sheffield Ave. New winter hours roll out this week: Monday-Thursday 5-11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
