JEFFERSON PARK — Similar discussions are happening across many Chicago neighborhoods this year: Do neighbors want a medical marijuana dispensary operating nearby?

On the Northwest Side, where many of the city's "blue-collar" workers have lived for decades but a recent wave of younger families have moved in, any issue seems to be a bit more heated. 

Similar to debates centered around bike lanes vs. car lanes or condo developments vs. single-family homes, medical marijuana has split the neighborhood.
