CHICAGO — The floating haunted house attraction at Navy Pier has closed for the season after being damaged during Friday's windy weather that also shut down stretches of Lake Shore Drive.

"There's water that's on the barge. It's not level," said Nick Shields, a Navy Pier spokesman.

Earlier Friday afternoon, Navy Pier announced that "The Fear Haunted House at Navy Pier presents Zombie Containment" would be closed Halloween night due to bad weather conditions.

Before sustaining damage, it was set to reopen for Saturday and Sunday before shutting down for the season.

The haunted house is located on the northern side of the pier just west of the Grand Ballroom.
