DUNNING — Volunteers are needed to help spruce up four locations in the 36th Ward as part of a citywide cleanup event.

Ald. Nicholas Sposato (36th) will host cleanup events starting at 10 a.m. Sunday at Bell Park, 3020 N. Oak Park Ave.; Hiawatha Park8029 W. Forest Preserve Drive; Shabonna Park6935 W. Addison St.; and the Dunning branch of the Chicago Public Library, 7455 W. Cornelia Ave.

For two decades, city officials and local organizations have organized a fall cleanup day to beautify local communities by raking up leaves and cleaning up debris. The work helps prepare for winter by clearing storm drains before the first snow fall.

Sposato is running for the 38th Ward seat on the Chicago City Council to represent Dunning and portions of Portage Park.
