CHICAGO — The Austin District police station will host a haunted house for kids Thursday afternoon.
Families can stop by the station at 5701 W. Madison St. between 4 and 7 p.m. to join officers for the spooky event.
Police also provided tips for trick-or-treating safety on Halloween. A release suggested limiting trick-or-treating to daylight hours in familiar neighborhoods with parents present, having children wear light-colored or reflective clothing, accepting only sealed candy, and obeying traffic laws.
