CHICAGO — A shooting in Edgewater Tuesday night hospitalized a 27-year-old man.

Around 7:50 p.m., the man was in the 5900 block of North Winthrop Avenue when he was shot in his back and left thigh, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was taken to Weiss Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, which appears to be gang related, Estrada said.
