UPTOWN— The creators of Hello Mr. magazine want Uptown to be the hottest Halloween destination outside Boystown.

“We hope people go to the parade in Boystown and come to Uptown for the after party,” said Francisco Tirado, an associate editor at Hello Mr. magazine, a lifestyle magazine and global community of “men who date men" based in New York.

About 250 tickets are on sale for the “All the Devils” party, which will take place at the FLATS Studio No. 1050 at 1050 W. Wilson Ave. Friday night. The 100-year-old, hollowed-out vaudeville theater, near the Wilson Red line station, is the perfect location for the party because of its dramatic architecture and historic columns, Tirado said.

Tirado said he hopes a diverse crowd attends the party, which will feature Chicago-based DJ Tess Kisner of the well known Slo’Mo parties. Tirado said he hopes Kisner will help “bring in both sides of the LGBT community," adding that "it can be an isolating experience for women in Boystown."

Tirado said the music for the party will be a mix of “nostalgic R&B” songs — no house music, “please and thanks.".

Costumes are encouraged but not required at the party, which runs from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Tirado said he will stick to the party's theme and be dressed like a devil.

Tickets, which include an open bar, are $30. Buy them here.
