PULLMAN — Neighborhood Housing Services and the Pullman Community Development Commission will host a pre-winter lecture on how to keep heating costs low when cold weather strikes.

Pullman and Roseland residents are invited to the free home safety and maintenance workshop, which aims to offer tips on reducing energy use and protecting homes from dangerous weather.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday Gately Park, 744 East 103rd St.
