BRIDGEPORT — Kids can take home their painted pumpkin masterpieces at Donovan Park's Halloween party.
The family-friendly event takes place 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30 at the park, 3620 S. Lituanica Ave. The cost of admission is $3 per child. Organizers say the party is appropriate for kids ages 1 to 9 years old.
New park supervisor Becky Koenig said "we'll have some pumpkins here for the kids. We'll be painting pumpkins, we'll have games set up and there will be arts and crafts for them to do."
The party is part of the Chicago Park District's Halloween in the Parks series, which brings parties to a number of parks and playgrounds across the city.
