CHICAGO — A 33-year-old woman was shot Wednesday night in East Garfield Park, police said.
The woman was talking on the phone on a porch in the 600 block of North Ridgeway Avenue around 10:40 p.m. when she was shot in her leg, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital in stable condition, Sedevic said.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
