CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy was shot Friday night in Englewood.
Around 6:42 p.m., the boy was in the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue when he was shot in the hip, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago police spokesman.
The boy was taken Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition, Zala said.
No one is in custody for the shooting, which appears to be gang related.
