LOGAN SQUARE — Neighborhood chocolate shop Katherine Anne Confections will celebrate its eighth anniversary with a week of chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.
The confectionery, 2745 W. Armitage Ave., will offer a week of deals from treat specials to a marshmallow stacking competition in celebration of eight more years in Logan Square.
Confectionista Katherine Duncan began selling "Katherine’s Karamels," 5 for $1, when she was just 12 years old. For this week only, Katherine Anne Confections is going back in time and offering the same deal to in-store customers.
The shop has brought customers locally roasted coffee, teas and French-inspired pastries since it opened in 2006. Decedent drinking chocolate is also among the offerings and was named one of the 15 Best Places to Drink Hot Chocolate in America in 2013.
Guests of this week’s anniversary celebration will receive a free anniversary truffle (flavor coming soon) with any $10 purchase.

Marshmallow Tower Stacking Competition!
Those up to the challenge can take on the Confectionator (Frank Duncan) in a marshmallow stacking competition. Beat the Confectionator at his own game and score a free mug of drinking chocolate.
Sunday, October 19:
Mini Hot Chocolate Bar!
Customers are treated to a free mini hot chocolate! In addition, a fun and delicious toppings bar will be set up to take that drinking chocolate to the next level!
The Katherine Anne Confections storefront’s hours of operation are Tuesday and Wednesday 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Thursday and Friday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
