BRIDGEPORT — Zombies, "be they corporate, philosophical or actual, literal, eat-your-brains" zombies, are real.

So says the producers of Story Club South Side, the monthly storytelling party at Co-Prosperity Sphere, 3219 S. Morgan St.

And they want to hear your tales of the undead.

The group's next session takes place Oct. 21 at Co-Prosperity Sphere, 3219 S. Morgan St.

Here's how it works: Three professional storytellers — Denise Poljacik, Kelsie Huff and Kenneth Hite — and two open mic participants will spin yarns based on a theme. In this case, zombies.

In addition to the featured performers, two open mic slots are available for brave storytellers. They'll have eight minutes to tell their story, which doesn't have to follow the theme.

Open mic sign-up starts at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Suggested donation for entry is $10. The event is BYOB.
