CHICAGO — Three people were shot overnight in two separate incidents in Homan Square and Gresham.

Around 7:50 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot when he walked outside in the 7700 block of South Marshfield Avenue and was confronted by three men, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

During the argument, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired at the man, grazing him in his leg. The man refused to be taken to an area hospital and was listed in good condition at the scene, Sedevic said.

The most recent shooting occurred around 1:50 a.m. in the 3600 block of West Harrison Street after two people got into an argument with a group earlier, said Sedevic.

A 34-year-old woman was shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition. A 25-year-old man, who police said had gang ties, was also shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai in critical condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for either shooting.
