CTA/Your New Blue
WICKER PARK— The Damen Blue Line stop will close from Oct. 20 until Dec. 22 for renovations as part of the CTA's big Blue Line overhaul.
In the statement released Monday, the CTA said the Damen station will undergo major renovations including structural repairs, improved lighting, signage and improvements to the stations house exterior and interior.
During the renovations, the CTA plans to provide additional No. 56 and No. 70 buses on weekends and weekdays.
The Damen station renovations follow improvements made to the California Blue Line station, which is scheduled to reopen Oct. 16, the CTA said.
The CTA urges customers to plan ahead and allow extra travel time during rush hour.
