Things You Can Do in Lincoln Park and Old Town This Weekend

Friday

Rachael Yamagata at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 9 p.m.

Rachael Yamagata brings her indie sound to the Lincoln Hall stage Friday night along with The Dove & The Wolf and Hemming. Tickets to the 18-and-older show are $20.

Ritch Shydner at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells St, 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Ritch Shydner has been writing and performing comedy for 30 years, making appearances on "Late Night with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Tickets are $25 with the purchase of two food or drink items.

Saturday

Sheffield Stroll at Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., 2 p.m.

Learn the history of the Sheffield DePaul area by strolling through the architecture and Hollywood film sites. Meet at the street-level "L" entrance. Walking tours are two hours long. Tickets are $20, $15 for museum members.

Learn, Explore and Play at Lincoln Park Zoo, 2001 N. Clark St., 9:30 -10:30 a.m.

The zoo has created an immersive playground for your young one to connect with nature through playtime. The sensory rich play place allows children to meet the animals, draw, build and make music on your own schedule. The nine-week session on Thursdays and Saturdays is $126, $108 for zoo members. The class is for children ages 2-3 accompanied by an adult.

OM at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 10 p.m.

Tickets to the 21-and-over show featuring the experimental drone metal band from San Francisco are $16.

Sunday

Tour of Union Station with the Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., 1 p.m.

Explore one of America's last grand railway stations in this two-hour walking tour. Meet at Union Station, 500 W. Madison St. to begin the Tour. Tickets are $25, $20 for museum members.

Chicago's Cabaret Professionals Gala Benefit at Park West, 322 W. Armitage Avenue, 8 p.m.

Head to Park West for the 16th Annual Chicago Cabaret Professionals Gala Benefit, "The Song's The Thing," which will honor Stephen Wallem and Denise McGowan Tracy and will feature members of Chicago Cabaret Professionals. Tickets for the reserved table and booth seating are $60. General Admission tickets are $30. Tickets are $5 more the day of the benefit.
