Mo' Better Jazz
GRAND CROSSING — Jazz artist Irvin Pierce will be joined by Scott Hesse on guitar, Devin Foster on bass, and Isaiah Spencer on drums at a free South Side jazz concert.
The NextGenJazz in the Park will run from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Grand Crossing Park, 7655 S. Ingleside Ave., and was founded by the Jazz Institute of Chicago.
Organizers said the goal of the citywide concert series, now in its 17th season, is to bring people together from across the city to listen to Chicago's top jazz musicians.
