Radio Extra: Ping Tom the Rabbit Gets a Second Chance

 Ping Tom the rabbit was found abandoned and tic-infested in Ping Tom Park in Chinatown Aug. 30. Red Door Animal Shelter took him in and is nursing him back to health.

CHICAGO — Ping Tom the baby bunny may look cute now, but it has been a difficult journey for the Dutch rabbit. 

He's named after the park where he was found on Aug 30. The Red Door Animal Shelter found the rabbit dehydrated, malnourished and covered by 200 ticks and fly slime.
