CHICAGO — Wish you knew what your dog was thinking?

A free seminar Saturday from the South Loop Animal Hospital aims to help pet owners better communicate with their dogs.

John Ciribassi, veterinarian and co-editor of "Decoding Your Dog," and Laura Monaco Torelli, pet trainer, will discuss dog park behavior, body language, fear-based aggression and leash-walking in the city.

The seminar begins at 2 p.m. at the Glessner House, 1800 S. Prairie Ave., and those who plan on attending are asked to register by emailing SLAHseminars@gmail.com.

The seminar is part of an ongoing celebration by the animal hospital of its fifth anniversary, and it focuses on dog park behavior in anticipation of the new South Loop dog park currently under construction at Fred Anderson Park.

The next installment in the free seminar series will be on dental health Feb. 7.
