CHICAGO — Police say a man tried to lure a young woman into his car last Tuesday in Portage Park.

Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, the man parked his car around the intersection of Cicero Avenue and Henderson Street and tried to talk to the woman. The woman did not respond before running off, police said.

The man is described as white, between 40-45 years old and with a light brown mustache and beard. He has a medium complexion and was wearing a navy blue baseball cap during the incident. The man had a tear-drop tattoo under his right eye and an "MLD" pitchfork tattoo on the right side of his neck, police said.

He was driving a black four-door car, which police believe was a Nissan, with scratches on the passenger door, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8200.
