LOGAN SQUARE —  The Comfort Station's "Horror Wednesdays" series continues this week with a little-known 1956 film about a sketchy hypnotist.

"The Hypnotic Eye" screens for free at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave. The art and event space will host the Wednesday night horror screenings through Halloween.

This week's film is about a city "stricken by a wave of self-mutilations performed by beautiful women who seem to be in a hypnotic trance," according to IMDB. The cops think a stage hypnotist is to blame, which could but the detective's lady-friend in a bad situation.
