CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man shot Saturday morning died of his wounds, authorities said.
Jose Rios, of the 4300 block of South Paulina Street in Back of the Yards, was shot in the chest about 6:15 Saturday morning in the 4500 block of South Hermitage Avenue.
He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, however, said Rios died on the scene at 6:59 a.m.
