UPTOWN — Bar on Buena has plans this week for two beer-themed events, including a preview party for a new beer from Two Brothers Brewing Co., and a battle of four Oktoberfest brews.

On Tuesday, the bar at 910 W. Buena Ave. is hosting a preview party  headlined by Wobble, a new India Pale Ale from the west suburban Warrenville-based brewery that promoters said "'wobbles' on the edge of really hoppy."

Also on draft will be the Two Brothers' Atom Smasher Oak, an aged Oktoberfest brew, and Cabinet of Curiosities White IPA, a collaboration with Chef Cleetus of Bar on Buena and the Fountainhead bar and restaurant in North Center.

The beers will cost from $6 to $8. For every pint bought, the bar said it's knocking $1 off and giving attendees a raffle ticket that could win them a trip to Two Brothers' brewery.

On Thursday, Bar on Buena has scheduled a clash of seasonal brews named "Oktober-Fists"

The bar will offer guests a flight of all four of the participating beers, and they can vote for their favorite.

The following four brews are participating: Ayinger Brewery Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Brewery Oktoberfest, Great Lakes Brewing Company Oktoberfest and Metropolitan Brewing Afterburner Oktoberfest.

Individual beers will each cost at least $5.
