CHICAGO — Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Gresham Friday night.
The man, 21, was stabbed in the chest during an altercation about 8:25 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Emerald Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
The victim was identified as Leon Austin of the 7500 block of South Union Avenue.
He was taken to University of Chicago Hospital, where he died.
