CHICAGO — Police on Sunday recovered the body of a man from the Sherman Park lagoon.

Police responded to a call of a possible body in the water about 1:25 p.m., said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman. Marine unit officers found the body of a man in the lagoon at the park, in the 5400 block of South Loomis Street.

A death investigation is ongoing, Estrada said.
