CHICAGO — Two people were rescued after their boat caught fire on Lake Michigan Sunday afternoon, police said.

Chicago police and fire units responded to a call of a boat on fire about 4:50 p.m. about a mile-and-a-half offshore at Fullerton Parkway, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a police spokeswoman.

When they reached the boat, they rescued the two boaters and extinguished the fire, she said.

No one was injured.
