Police Warn of Burglaries in Humboldt Park, Noble Square

CHICAGO — Police are warning Humboldt Park residents of an uptick in bugarlies in the neighborhood.

In at least three incidents since Aug. 31, people have broken into apartments and stolen property.

The burglaries have occurred at different times throughout the day, police said.

Apartments in the following blocks were broken into:

• 1100 block of North Mozart Street on Aug. 31;

• 2700 block of West Haddon Avenue on Sept. 2;

• 900 block of North California Avenue on Sept. 3

Police also said burglars have hit businesses in Noble Square earlier this month.

The burglars break the front glss windows and doors of businesses and take property. All the incidents occurred in the 1500 block of West Chicago Avenue between 4 and 5:30 a.m. They took place on Sept. 2, 5 and 6, police said.
