LAKEVIEW — The Internet Cat Video Festival is rolling into Chicago this weekend — with a special appearance by Lil Bub.

Now in its third year, the traveling festival highlights cat videos from across the globe — everything from home movies and Vine snippets to music videos and short films.

The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis developed the show in 2012 as a way to connect communities with crowdsourced content. It's since hit the road, with tour stops in the U.S., Sweden and Japan.

The show will play at Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., on Saturday. Famous Internet cat Lil Bub (and her owner Mike Bridavsky) are hosting and will be available for meet-and-greets.

Tickets range from $11-$136.50, and proceeds benefit local cat charities Tree House Humane Society and Chicago Cat Rescue. Screenings are at 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 and 10:30 p.m.

Will Braden's Top 3 Video Picks:

We asked this year's curator Will Braden — who you may know from the "Henri, le Chat Noir" videos — to share some of his favorite videos from the 2014 show. Here are his top three:

Midnight Juggernauts: Systematic

The Australian band's 2013 music video throws cats at you. Lots and lots of cats. There's raining cats, drumming cats, flying cats, masked cats and a cat who's a bird. "That's a favorite of the producers for sure," Braden said.

Pallas' Cat

The Pallas' Cat, or Otocolobus manul, is a small wildcat known for its flat and round face, fluffy fur and Internet fame.

Henri, le Chat Noir

Braden couldn't resist picking one of his own. "Henri 9: Blight of Spring" will play in this year's festival. "Like the catnip fiend's tragic existence," Henri muses, "time stumbles on like a marching band with no music and no leader."
